Thorns and Petals

“Thorns And Petals” opens with a beautiful exchange between mandolin and acoustic guitar, then slowly adds instruments without crowding the vocal. The singing grows in emotion and intensity as the lyric connects the beauty and pain of a relationship to the petals and thorns of a red rose. I love this song. It’s easy to hear the amount of work Carl put into this.
